TOMMY BUTLER is an award winning writer and director of narrative films and ensemble generated projects. His films have screened at festivals across the country, including the Academy Award-Qualifying Palm Springs International ShortFest and New Hampshire Film Festival, Salute Your Shorts Film Festival, Philadelphia Film Festival, and Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, among others. In addition to his narrative work, Tommy is an Assistant Professor of Film, Video, and Interactive Foundations at Temple University. Tommy is an Associate Artist with Team Sunshine Performance and is the former Artistic Director/Co-Founder of #theaternow. He is the winner of the 2022 Benjamin and Minnie Lazaroff Award, a 2014 Production Ensemble Guest Lecturer at Swarthmore College, a 2011 Directing Fellow at The Kennedy Center, and a 2010 Resident Directing Intern at Actor's Express. Tommy received his MFA in Film and Media Arts from Temple University.
